Comparo means -
          'to assert' or 'to compare'.

Mobilis Comparo provides a central repository for storing, changing, and setting network parameters. Comparo establishes the visibility and control of configuration required to help to run the network more efficiently.

Main Features

Simplifying Parameter Management

Comparo provides an environment where all optimization changes across the network can be performed, whilst maintaining consistency across geographic or technological boundaries, supporting:

In addition, the Comparo application provides change management control for all the operational configuration changes that take place regularly on a mobile network including:

Comparo can be installed independently or as a component within the overall Mobilis architecture. The flexibility to ensure that Comparo is capable of being customized and deployed to meet the individual requirements of varied operational networks has been incorporated into the design and development of the system.

Comparo is designed to tightly integrate with other network management solutions and this combination of products ensures that the network operator can implement best of breed solutions to meet their network requirements. Mobile operators face an array of challenges as new technologies and services are introduced into a maturing market place. The complexity of managing these networks and services requires the intelligent handling of large volumes of data.

The foundations for superior network performance and service quality management are to be found in the integrity and consistency of the radio network. This integrity and consistency needs to be ensured across an increasingly multi-vendor, multi-technology environment. Today’s mobile networks support millions of customers with change management and configuration controls vitally important in providing the consistency and visibility that is required to remain competitive.

Comparo allows change management and configuration management to be centralized for all radio access network changes across the entire network, irrespective of technology or vendor. This improves efficiency and ensures integrity, as all the affected nodes are automatically notified of the required changes. The likelihood of parameter discrepancies between the planned and live network parameter settings are reduced with Comparo. Where discrepancies do occur they are routinely identified with required amendments progressed through the change request process.

Automatic synchronization

Comparo regularly uploads data from the radio planning system and the live network parameters. This automatic updating provides synchronization via correlation and discrepancy checking that ensures the planned and live networks remain synchronized.

Comparo user interface provides access to the system for both users and administrators with the ability to investigate, plan, authorize and implement all requests for network change, via the graphical user interface. The workflow and authorization flows are configurable to meet operator business processes. The configuration change commands generated by Comparo are output as either MML or XML commands and can be directed to the network, so that automatic provisioning of the configuration changes can be achieved.

Comparo integrates with all major radio planning tools as well as performance/service quality management systems and trouble ticketing systems plus all major network infrastructure vendors’ equipment providing full support for 2G, 2.5G and 3G networks offering the following key benefits:
